- The Asian/Pacific Islander population is the fastest-growing portion of the U.S. population. There are 14.2 million Asian/Pacific Islanders in the country. This figure is expected to top 16.7 million by 2012, for a whopping 18% growth rate.
- Asian buying power stands at $459 billion and will rise to $670 billion in the next five years.

- The Asian/Pacific Islanders are leaders in terms of education and income. Twenty percent hold a graduate or professional degree or higher, compared to 10% of the total U.S. population. Asians also have the highest median household income of any race, including Whites, at $61,094. This compares to $46,326 for the population as a whole.
